But are they worth the risk? <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">See, I think both regular <\/span><b>REC<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>REF<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are important. Don\u2019t get me wrong. Every subscriber is important to you as a store owner.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After all, you spend a lot of time, effort, and money to recruit them into your list. But wouldn\u2019t it be great if you could still re-engage your email list, without damaging your open rates like this? Well, <\/span><b>YOU CAN. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b>One easy way to do it is simply by <strong>adding small segments of unengaged people <\/strong>into your regular campaigns!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By peppering your engaged segments with small fractions of your unengaged list every time you send a campaign you can engage with the unengaged. Keep these unengaged fractions to <\/span><b>no more than 10%.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That way you\u2019ll largely maintain your open rates while pitching people who once signed up but have mostly forgotten you.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Here\u2019s How It Works&#8230;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After running a re-engagement flow, copy off the profiles that are still inactive onto a folder in a storage drive.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select a subset of these records and re-upload them to your email list, labeling it Unengaged after Re-engagement Flow, including the flow\u2019s date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then go into your unengaged segment, tap in the right-hand corner menu, <i style=\"color: #555555;\">Manage Segment<\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and click on <\/span><i style=\"color: #555555;\">Sample Segment Members<\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Include Sample 1 in your next campaign send. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat the sampling process with another 1000 records each time.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create numbered sample segments that each exclude all the prior samples until you\u2019ve apportioned the entire unengaged list into bite-sized pieces.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now all you have to do is start sending your regular campaigns to your most engaged segments and include the sample you\u2019ve just created! And that\u2019s it!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><b><i>Don\u2019t forget, the sample should be small.
